I have a confession to make about my approach to anti aging skin care treatments. I was not concerned with spending time or money on more than just simple deodorizers and skin care products.

3.Sunlight

You already know that too much exposure to strong sunlight will cause your skin to become dry and to burn making it red, hot and painful. I’m sure that, just like me, you enjoy being outside under a clear blue sky. Apart from the good feeling it gives, it is also the best way to obtain vital vitamin D.

However, the best practice for your anti aging skin care regime is to avoid too much exposure to the sun whenever possible.

4. Antioxidants

Your healthy skin cells can counteract any loss of suppleness by producing antioxidants. These fight the harmful free radicals that our bodies product naturally.

Just to get a bit technical for a moment, a free radical is a reactive atom that gets created in the proteins that make up our body. It damages collagen and causes inflammation. It is an oxygen molecule with negative charge.

5. Sleep

It always pleases me when I think my skin cells are going through the process of regeneration and repair while I sleep. Although about seven hours is recommended for the average adult person, less is alright as long as the quality of your sleep is good and you wake refreshed. Also, you need to avoid eating or drinking too close to your bedtime because the body needs to shut down its digestion so that it can carry out cell repair and growth.
